History of the International Project
In 2004 Jean Pol Martin launched the course as an interdisciplinary module called "Internet- and Project Competence" at the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt. The course was supported by the Virtual University of Bavaria (cf. http://www.vhb.org).
The chair for elementary education and didactics at the Catholic University of Eichstaett-Ingolstadt participated in the development of the IPC-module right from the start. We adapted it especially to teacher training. We put more effort into aspects of subject and content, and of course into the international and intercultural orientation. We decided to call our concept “International Project”, short IPC, similar to the German short name IPK.
